gold fish 24
we have a gold fish that never dies. makenzie has named it nemo but i refer to it as james bond, jack bauer, macgyver, nine lives, or iron fish. we got the fish from walmart many moons ago and it has yet to croak. we have left it for long weekends, still alive. cleaned out its bowl with soap, added water from the tap and the fish does not miss a beat. the fish has even jumped out of its bowl and into the disposal more than ones and still keeps going. luckily we were there in the room when it made the leap. on saturday while shopping for those high quality kites makenzie mentioned that we needed some friends for the fish. so i gave in and busted out a quarter and we added 2 rookies to the bowl of eternal life. the count is on to see how big they get or how quickly they end up being flushed away.

Have you considered the name Resputin??? Our Wal Mart fish just died... his name was Mr. Sparkle. We'll have his funeral up soon, eulogy and all.
that story cracks me up...i think that at least one occasion i have even put food in there - just for kicks - and thought later that perhaps overfeeding isn't a great idea. obviously, there was no affect. shalyn and i have had at least two fish and neither lasted for more than a couple of weeks.
