monday night we went down to miramar have dinner and desert with joe who came down on business. we had picked him up the day before in ontario but got together with everyone down in san diego. since makenzie and ethan took a nap on the way down they were in their usual post nap crankiness. grandma made it all better for makenzie and as long as ethan could toss around crackers and i could act like someone with special needs then ethan was happy. tessa was content just to sit there with joe and watch everyone. lucky for us there were not too many people there. joe made sure to call shalyn, and remind her of the horrible weather down here. shalyn called back later to tell him that the power had gone out. good to see joe again, granted makenzie was upset when we told her that we were only going to see joe and not carrin. again mentioning grandmas name got us out of that conversation.

those of us who did not go home got to go over to redberry and get some yogurt. only after following me around as i missed the exit and passed it up once.
