last Friday night we went up to lake perris to hang out with Jamie Kimball, his sons, and their bull dog buster. that night we spent hanging out eating and talking and having a good time. makenzie fell asleep on the 1 mile trip over to the lake and ethan, like usual was up for the duration of the night. i did not get that much sleep as ethan had a hacking cough and makenzie woke up in the middle of the night not feeling well. i was up by 5:30 after going to bed around 1:00 and we helped them get some things ready for the show. i took makenzie and ethan down to where they were taking the dogs around in their respective rings. it was neat to see and the kids were ecstatic. as we were walking in makenzie just kept saying, "there is a dog over there (pointing), look over there there is another one. look buddy (ethan) there is a dog there. daddy look at that one." our first dog show. i heard that people look like their dogs or vice versa and it was true. next time i will have to get picture proof of that. dogs of all shapes, colors, sizes as well as the circus that follows them around. i thought that just because it was at lake perris it would be a small production but this thing was big. i guess i have only been to one so until i have something to reference it to maybe it is small.
we left the dog show and went and got in the car and when i told makenzie that we were going home she got so mad at me. "i don't want to go home right now, later. later i will go and see mommy and baby tessa." then her tone changed and she said, "remember the playground at the lake." "makenzie i think that is on the other side of the lake and if you want to go there we can." "no, dad there is one over here, just go that way (pointing to the right)" "ok." now i don't know how she found it, or saw it but she directed me right to the parking lot. they had a blast. the only down side was that there was still smoke in the air and ash on the ground. by the time that we left they had cleaned off both slides with their own clothes, and they were ready for a bath. later that day we all took some good naps before going to the ward halloween party.
