All is well in Zion...National Park.

Several weeks ago I wrote about a quadruple date, which was a new record. But now, the records has been broken with a quintuple date...sextuple if you count gretty's brother Ian and his lady friend Laura. Austin and Cherisse, JakenApril, Lorenzo and Ernesto, Luke and GJo, and the Adrian and Jean all the way from Heathfield Lane.

The trip started out as just an idea followed by a daily mass e-mail in an attempt to make a "plan". After about sixty e-mails there were no settled plans. The Saturday came and we met up with Austin and fam outside of Zions. The first hike was a nice short warm-up hike with some water falling from a rock. Next up was the Narrows, and we did two miles of it.

That night we camped and MOM CAMPED TOO. Apparently the last time mom camped was over a decade ago...so everyone was surprised that she agreed. It was a warm but windy night and in the mornign mom's air amtress was completely deflated. When I asked her how she slept she said "like a rock...flat on the ground"

After breakfast we hiked the Watchman trail and mom was a trooper once again. We drove out to hurricane and met in a park for a picnic with dominos pizza and popsicles. That was what happened on the family trip. There was nothing but good times.
