a few things
on tv a couple of weeks ago they had a star wars marathon. since we don't have any on dvd i decided to record all of them. i was watching one and makenzie started asking me about it. now i think that she has watched all of them, minus some of the scary bits. she will now request one of the 6 movies to watch. that was followed up with a trip to the star wars ride at Disneyland. also at downtown Disney they have a Lego store that has full size Lego versions of Darth Vader and r2d2. they have some table for kids to play with Legos and the last they were so excited to see the two characters in the store. now she keeps asking when she can go and fight Darth Vader at Disneyland.
with the new Indiana Jones movie coming out i decided to pull the 3 originals out and now she wants to watch those. last night she wanted to go on the ride at Disneyland but she was a little shy of reaching the 46" requirement.
ethan on the other hand has a mild fascination with cars in general, and now with Herbie. the only one on tv is that instant classic that will soon be locked in the Disney vault forever, Herbie fully loaded. thankfully grandma has all of the old ones. it took a while for makenzie and ethan to warm up to the original Herbie but now they will watch new and old. ethan found in his assortment of die cast cars, a vw bug (insert) that he now carries with him 90% of the time that he is awake. there have been a few times that this light blue bug has gone missing and we go into search and rescue mode. along with this has come the constant herbie bug sightings on the drives around town. this morning we were on the freeway and came up to a pt cruiser and makenzie asked if it was a Herbie bug and i told her no that it was an impostor, so she says to ethan, "look ethan it is a pauster, not a Herbie bug."with all of the movie talk you would think that our kids are glued to the tv all day long watching movies that their old man is forcing on them from his childhood.
tessa is learning to test out her vocal cords. she has found that she can squeal at a very high pitch. she loves crawling all over the house. one of the downsides of me taking the two older kids down to Disneyland is that tessa gets lonely. she gets fussy and cranky because she has no one to watch and entertain her.
makenzie the other night, "your the best-est mommy...I'm gonna keep you"

We love all those movies too. Maybe I should bust them out for our kids. Cambria got to fight Darth Vader at Disneyland and she was so excited. Kiera didn't and she cried and cried!
Love the "Herbie Pauster" story.
