get it, got it, good

at the racetrack makenzie who had her hands in her pocket asked me to pick out a bugger in her nose.
makenzie -"when i get older you can get them for me."

  • whenever they are laying in bed or being read a story at night they, ethan and makenzie, find it a perfect time to pick their nose. upon digging up some nasal treasure they feel it necessary to hand it over to me, like i have a collection. i am sure that started one night when cherisse turned them away and i just took it and transfered it to a Kleenex.

the last couple of days makenzie has been in the need confirmation mode. making sure that you got all of the information that she gave you.
makenzie - "you need to take me to the store and get me a treat. got it. you got it dad"

after finding a broken toy.

makenzie - "dad you can fix that right."
austin - "well i am not sure if it can be fixed."
makenzie - "why don't you call some of your friends and have them help you fix it dad."

later
makenzie -"dads fix things."
austin - "what do moms do."
makenzie - "they take care of the kids and get kids food."

aint that the truth? I love how honest kiddos are! I'm a little concerned about what my job will be when I don't have to take care of them and they can get their own food...ask kenzie for me will you?
