when we get home from hitting up the usual haunts of costco or winco there is always a procession back and forth to the car. lately ethan has been the designated doorstop on the door into the garage. it has automatic hinges that allow it to close whenever it is open.

this morning cherisse was leaving to go and get makenzie from preschool. it is easier to get ethan in the car first, buckled in and then load up tessa in the car. this morning ethan opened the door and stood there with his back to the door forcing it open. when cherisse invited him to follow her to the car and get in he refused. he just stood there holding the door open. cherisse asked him to come on. he stood there and then pointed to tessa pre-loaded in her car seat. "get baby." cherisse realized that in order to get him to get in the car she would have to lock tessa into her base before he would let the door close and get into the car. just in case cherisse left with out his little sister.
