fill'r up

so last night we decided to hang out at home. we ended up ordering wild hogs through dish, watching that and then that is when it snowballed. cherisse changed tessa's diaper and asked makenzie if she would take the package to the garbage. she is now disgusted by the thought of a wrapped up loaded diaper declined. cherisse then asked if ethan would take it. with some coaxing from me he picked it up and brought it over to me on the couch. i tried to get him to finish the play out but he was done at that point. i then tried to make it to the trash can with an underhand toss. (our garbage can sits out next to the island in our kitchen.) the toss was short and it landed to the side of the goal. ethan then sprinted over to pick up the diaper and return it to me.
i tried again and with my keen diaper tossing skills missed again. again the same response from ethan. i don't know if he wanted me to make it in, felt bad that his dad was a failure, or was hoping to see the thing bust open on the next miss. i made sure that the wet, non poopy diaper was wrapped up tight. now that it had turned into a mini game makenzie was all too willing to come and play. it started out as who could get it back to dad and then each of them took turns taking their shots. no one was injured, nothing was broken, and nothing was lost from the "package." we put a box out on the floor and took turns trying to hit the box. eventually that was not fun anymore and the game stopped. it was finally placed in the trash can. we do not condone playing with diapers but for about 13 minutes on friday night it was a blast.

(i feel that i need to have some sort of picture for each post, because when i read or look at other blogs that is what i want, not just words. cherisse asked why i was putting these pictures up that make all of our kids look a little deprived in the normal department, but since i did not have a picture of the object of our evening fun i put theme up. plus i think that they show a side of each of our kids that we don't get to see that often.)
