Trip to Washington

Austin and Joe flew Tessa and I up to Washington to surprise Shalyn for her birthday! It was Tessa first trip, first plane ride, and first snow experience. She did awesome on the plane and slept the whole time;but cried everytime we went outside in the cold weather! She is a California girl already! We went shopping in Bellevue, toured around Seattle a little bit and Maple Valley, stopped by the temple, took Nelson family pictures, and watched the snow fall!
It was awesome seeing the snow fall on the beautiful green trees, but even better knowing that I don't live in snow and I was going back to WARM Cali weather...sorry Shalyn! It snowed 5 1/2 inches while I was there. Yes and I arrived wearing capris and sandals and yes everyone looked at me like I was crazy and after walking out of the airport I knew why....it was freezing. However, I don't own any winter clothes other than a sweatshirt.
Kenzie and Ethan got to spend a weekend with their Daddy playing. It was hard leaving Kenzie and Ethan for the weekend, especially when kenzie wouldn't stop crying when we got to the airport. She didn't want to talk to me on the phone the whole time I was gone because she was mad that I left her; but was my best friend when I came home with a bag of presents for her and Ethan.It was a fun trip and fun to get to just hang out with Shalyn!
