yearly visit from a frog

so once each year that we have been in this house we have been paid a visit by some form of frog. i am not a big biology buff so it may have been a toad in past years, this could be a toad i do not know so that is irrelevant. it seems to happen in the summer time and i am sure that there is some sort of explanation as to why the toad/frogs are out but we have found one each of the prior 2 summers around the front of the house. have brought them in and showed the kids, and cherisse and then eat them. not really we let them go, just checking to see if you are just looking at the pictures or reading the post.

makenzie and ethan were both a little hesitant of this one, the smallest of the three summer visitors. after watching it hop around the kitchen they finally warmed up to it and wanted to hold it.
well first makenzie and then ethan following right behind wanted to send it for a ride on dinaco chick hicks. makenzie then got all "activist" on me and asked if we could take the frog home. i told her that it was home and then she corrected me that the frog needed to get home because it was late. so from the front porch we let the little frog hop off into the night. until next year.
