planes, trains, and automobiles

So it would take a lot of detail and comments to describe the trip realizing my 5 page essay already just on England alone. So I'll just sum up the good bits. London was AWESOME. Lauren and I spent a whole day there and we had a blast, Buckingham Palace, Notting Hill, Portabello road, Harrods and not moms favorite store "Zara" because I didn't really feel like buying a hair barret for $500,000,000,090,909,090.00. The food was wonderful and Auntie Alison is just so neat. She’s exactly like mom and it’s hilarious. Dad, Lauren and I got our own room when we stayed there. And they made us dinner which was DELICIOUS. They have a dog-named Caspa and a cat named Marmite. hehehehe. We showed them the Christmas videos one of the nights we were there and that was pretty special. Um we went to see Mini-ma and Grandad and did Dover castle, Canterbury and Whitstable.

Lets see what else....we got on a plane to Italy and ate nasty mayo sandwiches on the plane. yum NOT! It took us a few(100) mile walk to our hotel until some guy felt sorry for us and drove us to our hotel. His name was Fernando and was drunk and offered dad a cigarette. We were realllllly hungry and all the shops were closed because everything closes at like 3 in the day because Italians are crazy like that, (*note to self, own store in Italy and keep it open all day everyday=$$$$$$) anyway. Dad and Lauren ate some more nasty sandwiches and I had some chips. Cool dinner huh? Well the next day was Rome and we saw all the sites. Coliseum, Trivy Fountain, Pantheon, Spanish Steps. Italians are pretty religious. Most of Europe is. We saw a lot of cathedrals that were in the times of Christ, before and after. Um we did the Vatican, shopped.

Met some boys. And that was pretty neat. For those that don’t know, Italians are suckers for blonde girls and I just so happen to be blonde. A big group of guys my age surrounded Lauren and me and I was sure they were going to kidnap us or something. But once they did their winks and asking me for my phone number I was pretty weirded out by that time. hah. Don’t worry I got pictures! There was a really cute one. I even got kissed on the cheek a few times! Yes yea. Well at least I’m beautiful there! anywayyyya. we went to Pisa after that. WOOO. Lauren dad and i got pictures of us holding it up of course. Climbed to the top to see the entire city. it was amazing and just mind boggling how it is just standing there still today.

Anyway we then drove to Florence and that was SUWEEET cause Austin called us. hah. Um in Florence we shopped a lot, saw the David and Michael Angelo and Galileo tombs. And some other museums. Dad also bought nice shoes in Florence. Lauren and i went to this music shop and I got Rachel some piano music and theres a cool story behind that so if you want to know, ASK ME.

Um after Florence, we did the Ferrari thing with dad, that was a sweet time. Especially the museum and meeting Rory Byrne. Go ahead GOOGLE him. he’s famous and a genius. The food we ate at the restaurant he took us to was THE BEST MEAL THATS EVER BEEN IN MY MOUTH. fresh everything. makes my mouth water just thinking about it. it was so delightful. Sylvester Stalone ate there, his signature was the walls, along with other Ferrari memorabilia. Um but lets see.

Next stop was just some places a long the way we stopped to say hello to. VENICE. oh Venice. The hotel we stayed at was pretty cool minus the no shower curtain which was odd and the mysterious smell of cigarette smoke in one corner of the room. But VENICE!!!! The creepy little streets and the dreary paths. The smell of fish and fresh fruit. Masks galore and very breakable glass. One of the coolest places we went to. Lauren and I witnessed a soccer game in the streets and you would not believe how many stray dogs there were. that night we ate a lovely dinner overlooking the lido and then afterwards went to a symphony featuring 4 seasons playing vivaldi. Need I mention how crazy good that was? Makes me want to learn the violin. the celloist was way into it and they all played perfectly and equally .

ummm after Venice we drove to Milan. I slept a lot sometime, just to avoid getting car sick. um but we got on a train to Zürich and saw some picturesq scenery of Switzerland. EVERYONE NEEDS TO TAKE A TRAIN TO ZURICH. The mountains and villages. better than the pictures. some annnnnoying teenage Swedish girls were in the seats behind us and they were really loud and i got a headache. i just wished I knew how to say "hello" in Swedish or switzerlandish or whatever. um but our hotel there was off the CHIZANE! Breakfast the next morning was yum yum delicioso! Sausage, eggs, bacon, toast, croissants, hot chocolate, juice. YUM. filled us up.

oh man then the 11 hour flight to Texas. guhhhh. Uncomfortable. I watched 4 movies. no 5 counting the one to seattle and then i dozed off on our flight to Portland. but yeah. it was a cool trip. it BEATS DISNEYLAND and the Las Vegas look a likes. yet the whole trip I felt like I was just in a crazy dream,...a long one...it just seemed so unreal seeing world famous painting, and sculptures and buildings and streets and the people. it was all real though. every bit of it. i wont mention how many times we made mistakes or lost dad. Lauren and I got a long really well except she told me to shut up a few times. But that's because she was sleeping. I won’t forget the candy and food. I don’t eat fast food anyway but I honestly can’t eat anything here that could compare to what they had over there. Sorry olive garden. I forgot to say that the pizza in Italy is tasty! Step aside pizza hut. hah. In a sense I felt like I was in another dimension. Everything being so different culture wise. anywayyyy!!!!!!! I loved it. Good experience. Good company and good memories.

It’s late and I’m tired. Ill send pictures later. Ask Lauren for some pictures too in the meantime. !!
Have a schveet night/day. And enjoy what I put!. If it doesn't make sense. Just ask me about it. I could have addddded a ton more but its so much.
