white stuff

well on friday january 12th it snowed for the 2nd time in a year at our house in perris. to think that we ventured up to oregon, idaho, and on to utah and never got snowed on, except for traveling through the passes. about 5 in the morning i heard something coming down outside and hitting up against the bedroom window and i thought that it was just hail because that is what it sounded like. well when i got out of bed and opened up the blinds i saw that it was like a powdered sugar blanket over everything. it took a while to get everyone out of bed, more so makenzie and ethan, they just wanted to sleep and could not be bothered by some cold snow.

the consistency of it was not really like snow. it was more like beads of snow. there were no flakes at all just these not so hard hail balls.

finally we got the kids up and took them outside for a quick second so that they could see what had happened. makenzie said that she was cold and so we took her back in, ethan just wanted to go and walk around in it, cold or hot he did not care one bit. cherisse gathered some from the backyard and put it in a bowl for them to play with. they had fun playing with the snow that only lasted a little while longer until it was all melted away.
